This is a phrase that we often proclaim when we find ourselves faced with certain challenges or certain situations. And of course, the reason we say this first is because we are evaluating the situation based upon our strength, our wisdom, our knowledge, and other resources that we bring to the situation. For us, it is impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we have a God for whom nothing is impossible. This is declared throughout the Bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeremiah 32:17<\/a>(ESV) \u201cAh, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Job 42:2<\/a> (ESV) \u201cI know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke 1:37<\/a> (ESV) \u201cFor nothing will be impossible with God.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew 19:26<\/a> (ESV) \u201cBut Jesus looked at them and said, \u201cWith man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so, based upon these scriptures and many others we will proclaim that simple phrase, \u201cNothing is impossible with God.\u201d But saying it does not always mean we are living inwardly in light of it.  Sometimes we say it outwardly because we know that that is what we are supposed to believe. And we do want to. But at times, even in our own minds these words seem empty as we go through some difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Mark 9 Jesus met a father whose son was demon possessed. The man said to Jesus, \u201cBut if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.\u201d Jesus replied, “‘If you can\u2019? Everything is possible for one who believes.\u201d  \u201cImmediately the boy\u2019s father exclaimed, \u2018I do believe! Help me to overcome my unbelief!\u2019\u201d Then, came the command of Jesus, \u201cYou deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.\u201d  And the boy was healed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like the boy\u2019s father, we all want to believe. Believing in the heart means believing beyond what your mind can imagine or think of.  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. <\/em>(Ephesians 3:19-21<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us trust in God, even when we can\u2019t see the results yet. Let us walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5.7) Let us ask God to help us in our times of unbelief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
