Some of the details of the agreement are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Immediate\u00a0halt\u00a0to\u00a0fighting<\/strong>:\u00a0The\u00a0agreement\u00a0aims\u00a0to\u00a0end\u00a0the\u00a0ongoing\u00a0conflict\u00a0and\u00a0restore\u00a0order\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0region.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Release\u00a0of\u00a0hostages<\/strong>:\u00a0Israel\u00a0will\u00a0release\u00a0all\u00a0remaining\u00a0Israeli\u00a0hostages\u00a0held\u00a0in\u00a0Gaza,\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0first\u00a0release\u00a0expected\u00a0to\u00a0begin\u00a0soon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Release\u00a0of\u00a0Palestinian\u00a0prisoners<\/strong>:\u00a0Nearly\u00a02,000\u00a0Palestinian\u00a0prisoners\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0released\u00a0in\u00a0exchange\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0Israeli\u00a0hostages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Humanitarian\u00a0aid<\/strong>:\u00a0A\u00a0surge\u00a0of\u00a0humanitarian\u00a0aid\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0provided\u00a0to\u00a0Gaza,\u00a0which\u00a0has\u00a0faced\u00a0severe\u00a0food\u00a0shortages\u00a0and\u00a0famine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Disarmament\u00a0and\u00a0governance<\/strong>:\u00a0The\u00a0agreement\u00a0leaves\u00a0the\u00a0disarmament\u00a0of\u00a0Hamas\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0future\u00a0governance\u00a0of\u00a0Gaza\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0later\u00a0phase,\u00a0which\u00a0is\u00a0expected\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0more\u00a0uncertain.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In an article entitled, <strong>Biden commends Trump for getting ceasefire deal &#8216;over the finish line&#8217;, <\/strong>former President Biden was quoted as saying, \u201cThe road to this deal was not easy. My Administration worked relentlessly to bring hostages home, get relief to Palestinian civilians, and end the war. I commend President Trump and his team for their work to get a renewed ceasefire deal over the finish line.&#8221; Biden also expressed his <em><u>hope that the Middle East is on a path to enduring peace<\/u><\/em> and &#8220;a future for Israelis and Palestinians alike with equal measures of peace, dignity, and safety.&#8221;&nbsp; We do need to celebrate this ceasefire and this peace and pray that indeed this will be an enduring peace with dignity and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Christ followers, we know that the only way to have complete and perfect peace in any relationship around the entire globe is for everyone to submit to the Prince of Peace, Jesus the Christ. Sadly, we also know that not everyone will do this. You and I, who know the Prince of Peace, even have a hard time submitting consistently to him. We also know that before Christ returns, there will be wars and rumors of wars, and much of this will be in the Middle East, but everywhere as well. Nevertheless, Jesus commands us to be peacemakers. \u201cBlessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.\u201d (Matthew 5.9) Paul wrote, \u201cIf possible, so far as it depends on you,&nbsp;live peaceably with all.\u201d (Romans 12.18)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"372\" height=\"343\" src=\"https:\/\/bermudianchurch.org\/bcblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-712\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bermudianchurch.org\/bcblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-4.png 372w, https:\/\/bermudianchurch.org\/bcblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-4-300x277.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 372px) 100vw, 372px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And so, let us celebrate this peace. Let us praise God for his handiwork in bringing about this peace.
